I think it depends on the preparation you do before painting. My m151 took
almost 1.5 gallons. It took 3 coats of paint to get it where I liked it.
The m37, however, only took about 3/4 of a gallon. I did extensive prep
work on it before painting. Type of paint will play a role also. Of
course, I do not want to get back into that Gillespie vs. Aervoe argument
again.
