Understand that there are two completely different versions: 6 volt and 12
volt.
The older (WW2 CCKW) starter pinion has fewer teeth than the 12 volt version
The 6v ring gear is different though I have swapped them.
YOU CANNOT USE a 12 volt starter in a CCKW unless someone has converted it
to a 12v ring gear.
