Enjoyed your tongue - in - cheek comments on the "Hell on Wheels" bike
units, but suggest that our goverment in it's infinite wisdom would
probably insist on using a fresh, bank-wrapped package of $100 bills
(new Monopoly money style to prevent counterfeiting of course) to attach
to the fender brace to make the noise desired to scare the enemy. I
shudder to think of the R & D and overall costs (read Congressional
fact-finding junkets to Las Vegas, Hawaii and all golf courses in the
free world) that will go into the mil-spec clothespin to attach it.
However, it may be worth it in the long run because the ladies (such as
my wife) who aren't interested in MVs may well become avid ml-spec
clothespin collectors - "yes, Martha I just picked up a 2002 model
33552266 lightweight clothespin at the swap meet yesterday in original
OD for only $125 - do you remember that thread on the mil-veh net with
the specs on spring tension and the #'s of the tech Manuals for
overhaul? I hope to take it to Aberdeen this year along with my 55
other variants if I get the sheets in off the line in time. BTW - do
you still have that receipe for the hamburger casserolle ......."
With no malice aforethought towards anyone and with tongue still firmly
in cheek
