Hey all:

Thanks to all who gave advice:

I checked the standing voltage on the batteries this morning, and they were
27 volts, Started the engine and the alt was charging at 33 volts, I cranked
it down a bit and the boiling has stopped

The moral of the story is that sometimes I should just look at the basics
first, instead of looking for more serious problems<G>
