Anith, You have a very unusual jeep in the sense that it was in the last
contract from AMG. In this last contract of 1984, 1108
M151 A2's were manufactured, (delivered in 1985) and yours was the 20th one
made. I knew the 83 contract date was incorrect and AMG was confused on
this one also. The engine was a 1983 contract date which was a "government
furnished" engine, which means the engines were previously purchased by
Uncle Sam and then dropped shipped to AMG for final assembly. As stated
before, your jeep is number 20 of the 1108 and final production of
M-151A2's; never to roll off the assembly line ever again! Just as a
matter of reference, AMG manufactured a total of 75,200 M 151A2's. In the
earlier days, AMG manufactured 18,905 M-151's. They NEVER manufactured a
