Lets try this again. I've been haveing problems with
my mailer....I've been around engines of all types for
a long time but multifuels only a short time. So here
is one for you old-timers to military trucks: On my
M35A2 (LDT-4651C) when cold or after 5-10 minutes of
sitting after running it takes about 20 seconds for
the oil pressure to come up. When the pressure comes
up you can hear a change in the turbo whine. (all at
an idle as per the 5 minute warm-up) No odd noises or
oil consumption. Oil pressure hot is 60+ above 1000
rpm and about 30 at an idle hot. If you shut it down
for only a minute or so it only takes about 1-2
seconds for the pressure to come up. It seems to me
that the filter canisters are draining down and the
time is when they are filling. I use 15-40 Rotella T
and NAPA filters. It was the same way with the
military oil/filters when I got it. Do I have a
problem or is this normal and how they all are?
