G'day team,
I have installed an NOS vacuum pump on the Mutt and am running the engine
with a jury-rigged 12v fuel pump, whilst waiting for a new in-tank pump to
come from the RTA.
The vacuum wipers do not work at all and I disconnected the vacuum pump
hose and placed my finger over the pipe and there was very little suction
at all. As per previous post, the pump is dated 1976 - is it likely that
the daiphragm has cracked, even though the whole unit was still inside it's
sealed plastic bag?
Thanks in advance for any pointers here.
Gavin
