The best bang for the buck book on US GI in WWII uniforms is "The WWII GI in
Color." One of the authors name is Hawkins. Can't recall the other. Price
is about $35-40. Next is "Doughboy to GI." It is the BEST, but very pricey
at about $80. It is by Ken Lewis. It is no longer in print, but still
available a few places. Military Market Place in Bainbridge, GA still has
them I believe. They are also a great source for WWII US GI gear and
uniforms.
