Yes, one of them is produced 1948 or 1949. The original data plate at the
dashboard says 1948 and the original title, issued by the NSU factory
says 1949. The title is issued 1951! Until that time the vehicle was still
not sold and in the factory.
This vehicle is not a military vehicle, because in 1948 (or 1949 or 1951)
there were no German armed forces. It is built for farm and forest use.
But is is a real Kettenkrad!
If you look at the Kettenkrads at MV events (like Beltring etc.) with
their military colour shemes and markings, you'll find out that most of
them are postwar farm tractors and not real wartime MVs. Many US-collectors
don't know, that the production went on after the end of WW2. So they are
proud of owning a German WW2 MV, but in reality they are riding a postwar
farm tractor...
