Can you really compare the two situations ?
On the one hand, you have two vehicles built by two different companies,
thirty years and three countries apart; on the other, you have the same
vehicle (excepting some purely military accessories, like the
Tarnscheinwerfer black-out lights) in continuous production by the same
maker since the war years
And I notice Andreas is not trying to pass off his 1948 kettenkrad as a
war-time model.
Kettenkrad is not a military definition, its the German for "tracked
motor-cycle", and can be used for post-war models as well as war-time ones.
