I do not recommed this to anyone - but- in 1965 I got some fiberglass liqud
from boat repair shop and poured abut a quart in a water can. Rolled it all
around, and rather than try pour excess out, just sat can upright, it has
about 1/2 in bottom. The can has been used some since then for water (I did
not share but I have drank out of it) and it has not rusted. The original
coating was a light tan and had chpped off in several places.

As a side note I was in salavage yard that had bought dies that cans were
made from, but was tool late to save anything.

Same thing for steel helment -- I got there just after they had put display
that showed every piece from sheet of steel to finished product, into
crusher

I did get some of the inspector pieces for the hot food container, and got
three new ones that were never used. I have the complete can that was used
to compare the production ones to. As an aside to this I have a food
container stamped with Arabic symbols, apparently we make them for other
people also
