When they came out with CARC in the 80's...I was one of the guys who laid
down gallon after gallon on many a vehicle...mostly 151 series vehicles...I
am alive and well...still using it today ...
It takes a little bit of comon sense to use it. You would not spray paint in
a closet...nor should you spray CARC in a closed area. It is not half as bad
as all the hyped up yuppies would have you believe.
Use it with the same caution as any other high vapor paint...lacquers were a
bad scene..until folks got smart and began to use fans to draw the vapors up
and away...CARC has a lot of metal in suspension in it..most of the problem
lies here. Your lungs will not pass this stuff on and out... Good
respirators will work just fine..with a long piece of surgical tubing or
hose to allow you to breathe air from another area not full of the paint
mist...Don't panic guys...CARC is not bad at all to shoot...once down on the
vehicle - it is totally harmless. It has no after effects once sprayed.
Wooden ammo crates are more dangerous in case you did not know - they are
an extremely dangerous carcinogen from just breathing in the same room they
are in - god forbid you should cut them with a saw and breathe in the
vapors..
Shoot your CARC and use a bit of common sense..1SG PANTANO
