very common problem and rather easy but very messy to replace. first get
new boots from john bizal. DO NOT use after market boots, they will only
last about 50 miles. really. remove the metal shields plate, cut the old
boot off and remove the two wire straps that hold it on. with lots of
old rags remove all the messy grease. make it as clean and dry as you
can, this will make putting the new ones on a lot easier. on one side
the zipper will go front and on the other side it will be in the rear.
the rest should be fairly obvious, just make real sure the lip is in the
groove all the way around.
