2800 is way to high an rpm for that engine. if you refer to the
operators manual it implies that you can get momentary extra power at
higher rpms, but 2300 is the limit i take mine to. ( unless you have a
spare engine ) as to the running problem, you need to diagnose the fuel
system. this is very easy: put a 0 - 100 psi gauge on the bleeder port
of the final fuel filter assy. idle should be about 35 psi and 2300 rpm
should be about 75 psi. much lower and you have clogged fuel
filters........
