I haven't seen the picture, but it is likely the
standard South Korean (ROK) army jeep. Sort of a
strange hybrid of the US jeeps Gavin mentioned. The
ROKs use a LOT of either former US equipment, or
locally built stuff to look like US equipment. All
their deuces look like M35s, but have gas engines,
M715s, M54s, some M48 tanks, the list goes on...
It sure was nice to be riding in a heated HMMWV in
January when the poor ROKs were in their jeeps with
the tops down:)
