Howdy List;
Mine did a similar thing. Seems the inner fender panal on the drivers side
(under the heater) could ride up on the frame from time to time, then pop
back off when the flex was right. Fixed mine with a piece of split fuel line
on the bottom edge of the sheet metal. Got rid of a nasty rattle in the
process too!
