Did any of the M38A1s come original with a hard top? Mine (a 1955) came
with one that has an aluminum top, sides, and back (with a small glass
window) screwed/bolted to the tub/window frame, but has plywood doors on
steel rod frames and little glass sliders in them. It's troubling that the
whole thing is painted in a matching OD as the rest of the vehicle, but it
sure looks like an Army set up (looks to still have the original seals on
the doors, and the plywood appears to be original and in good shape). Just
wanted to ask the experts to see if this was stock. Thanks.
