Quite often popping out of 5th gear is a result of missing a piece or all of
a tooth/teeth. There is no adjustment that I know of ( doesn't really mean
there isn't one ). I had one finish itself off on the way home from a 300
mile
road trip, about 200 miles out. Had to finish in 4th gear. Replaced the
trans when I got home.
