Fellow listers,
I have been overwhelmed by the responses, on and off list, and the
offers of hospitality and other advice. Quite clearly a few weeks,
rather than a few days, is necessary. Thank you one and all.
To summarise, on the basis of multiple recommendations the
must-see MV sights appear to be:
South of Washington:
Army Transportation Museum, Eustis

Quartermasters Museum

North of Washington:
Aberdeen - Ordnance Museum

National Guard Armoury, Havre de Grace ('Vixen Tor' Jeep)

The Air and Space museum was already on my itinerary but several
recommendations were also received for their annex, the Paul Garber
Restoration facility (winged MVs)

Unfortunately, if I can reserve tickets for a Garber facility tour, there
will probably be time only to visit the first two. Hopefully they will
provide
the inspiration to hurry on my various restoration projects!
Many thanks again
