The receptionist in my office has an SUV, the night security guard has
a new Grand Cherokee. One of the maintenance guys (they used to call
them janitors) just bought a Bronco, and he's only been in the country
six months and doesn't speak a word of English.
With leases the way they are now, even people on welfare can afford an
SUV. The idea that even 9% of the country has "SUV envy" is one of the
funniest things I've heard in months.
