Re: [MV] for islander

I believe the point I was trying to make is that I expect the government to
play on an even playing field and if they are so concerned with the
environment how come they run red diesel and we can't. Farmers are honest
folks and I know some people who have smaller places that use have bulk
tanks and actually use taxed diesel in their farm equipment so they can
also use the diesel in their pickup and on the road trucks. If you are
hauling livestock or crops to market by far the greatest mileage is taxed.
I am concerned too about an MV'er buying a truck and in bringing it home
getting caught at a DOT inspection with the wrong fuel. I can appreciate
Tim's point as an inspector as his job, but I hate to see innocent people
caught in a deal with red diesel that was in the truck when they bought
it.. Most people would not think to check the diesel in a tank in a DRMO
truck. The one my buddy found was because he was cleaning the lines
because one was plugged. Ease up a bit, and sorry I started the thing.
Thanks Howard at DVS
