Regarding Mr. Holland

I have to speak out on this one, gents...

Everytime we have some huge furball on the MVList, people start breaking out the
ropes, surveying trees, and tying nooses while looking for Lee Holland. Those
of us who can wordsmith end up firing a barrage of questions in his direction.
Be it regarding Jim Gilmore's bid to run for the Board of Directors, or be it
the question to start another Southern California MV group, or be it the efforts
to get M151A2s off of the endangered species list, every time is fire something
towards Lee, I get a personal response, with a reasonable explanation, and
answers to all of my concerns.

This has become a trend. I shall base my trust in my own observations and
reassure ya'll that if Lee is on the case, and the MVPA says that there are
plans afoot, then the right steps are being taken in the right direction...

I abjure you to take an example from "Team Yankee", wherein young Lieutenant
Garger breaks radio silence every freakin' morning with a radio check, not
trusting that his radios work, even though they had worked every day for the
past month. This also earned him a daily ass-chewing from the Company CO.

Be vigilant, surely, but don't form up the lynching party yet. Remember, Lee
has publicly stated that he will not use the MV List as a conduit for "official"
MVPA business, and whether we agree with him or not, let's respect the fact that
he won't switch horses in midstream.

My .50" thus far...

B.
