M-151 Wheel hubs

I am trying to remove two of the Mutt wheel hubs, the ones that do not
have the tie-down loops on them. They appear to be stuck but good and
efforts to loosen them have resulted in some damage to the corner of the
square nut on the hub.

Does anybody out there have any tips on how to remove stubborn hubs?
