If I remeber correctly what I heard in my sleep at the Military Academy,
Blasting gelatine (or Dynamite gelatine) is a form of dynamite where the
nitro-glycerine is absorbed, not by inert Kiegelsuhr, but by
nitro-cellulose (gun-cotton), thereby increasing the specific intrinsic
energy of the product.
It is also known as "Gelignite".
Never heard of "gunpowder gelatine" though..
