All the ones I ever dealt with were 383 green CARC.

Hmmm...sounds like another butchered CUCV wiring harness...common
cause-people who think the CUCV's wiring is harder to understand than it
really is/wanna-be mechanics:)

Jeff at Front Line has a lot of the wether strip at good prices. What he
doesn't have JC Whitney does. You can also try GM as Julian Burke has
pointed out, a lot of times I have bought a lot of parts from them. One
thing to know however, if they don't know what a CUCV is, walk out the door!
I was lucky to have a dealer that worked on a lot of CUCVs
Trailer light plug rusted out. Where can I get NOS one. Is it 24

I haven't seen NOS ones for the CUCV advertised, but if anybody has them
it'd probably be Jeff at Front Line. No, I believe 1stSgt. Pantano pointed
out before the only thing on a CUCV that is 24 volt is the starter motor and
slave receptacle. You will need to put 12 volt bulbs in your 416. The 24 V
bulbs will illuminate, but very dim.

oil?
My TM shows standard 90 wt in the axles and transfer case, but there is a
green tag on my transfer case that reads "USE ONLY ATF"
> > Steering is loose. How do I adjust drag?
Never drove a CUCV that didn't have loose steering.
> > What filters do I change and when?
Change your fuel filter often! They don't cost that much and it's a good
insurance policy.

I made a bracket that simply goes where your tow shcakles go. Gene Pantano
made a bracket using a horseshoe that slips in his pintle. Both work well
and are easily removable.
> > Where do you put master shut-off switch if you want to put in radio?
Master shut-off switch? Mine has a standard keyed ignition, so I am assuming
somone put some sort of kill switch where the radio goes. My suggestion-lose
it, go back to the plain ol' setup.
