I have had a lot of luck using a 3/8" air ratchet, and a glow plug socket (has a
gripper for the glow plug).
The ratchet will spin the glow plug and let it make it's own threads on the swollen
part.
Works 98% of the time.
Got this tip from a friend of mine who owns a fuel shop!
