Hi all,
My Father in law showed me something I haven't seen in a while... AN-PVS ??
rifle scope, suitable for an M16 or M14. Used condition, working I'm told
(sorry I was over in the daylight, inadvisable to turn them on in daylight),
parts equipment NOT there: carry BAG (it has the hard shell case), Rifle
mount (neither the large '16 or the '14 mounts are there, but it does have a
handle for non-mounted use). Optics appear clear and undamaged. I'm sorry I
don't remember the proper nomenclature, but this is the smaller of the
mounted night vision devices, unlike that HUGE one we used to strap onto the
M-2's. Anyways, he was trying to sell it, $500 if anyone is interested.
Located in Cleveland, OH.
I have a true MV question here also. I was messing around with my GPW
taillights the other day, just farting around and considering swapping out
the right hand light for the same as in the left to facilitate installation
of turn signals. I was just re-familiarizing myself with the "correct"
operation of the lights when I realized that POSSIBLY, the two prong running
light/stop light (the large oval-ish red one) MIGHT have been hooked up
backwards (Stayed BRIGHT all the time, stop light would come on, but only
dimly when the light switch was pulled all the way out). I figured that the
DIM should be the running light when the main headlights are on and that the
bright light should indicate stop lights. Sorry, I can't find anything
specific in the TM to tell me what the lights should do when the push pull
switch is in a certain position....
ANYWAYS, I digress. After screwing around with the two prong plug, it no
longer works! There is power at the wire terminals when there should be and
the light itself has continuity to ground from the terminals, indicating the
light isn't burnt out. I think the contacts are just acting up. As is true
with most things, it worked before I started farting around. So, any tips on
how to make the contacts come into CONTACT already? The wiring harness is an
MVP harness and the light is NOS. BTW, should the plastic(?) spring carrier
for the terminals be more or less solid with the metal collar that fastens
the plug to the light?
Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.
