This is from a release by the US Army News Service, a story about a ceremony
honoring Strom Thurmond:

"Thurmond, along with Caldera and Reimer, conducted an inspection of the
troops while riding in a World War II-era M151-A1 jeep."

Huh??? I think the writer is a little distant from the history of jeeps,
don't you agree?
