Thanks Emmett,
What should a pump cost, and is there a reason that I can't rebuild it
myself?

Howdy Rikk
Boy I rember, Pretty much the same happened to me except it was a m-109A3
with 1900 miles on it (yes 1900 miles). any way it would not start at all
but if you pulled it and hit the flame heater it would try and start. Guess
what? Yep time for an injection pump. I sent it to several injection pump
overhaulers but wanted in excess of $1400.00 Ouch! I ended up geting one
that was supposed to be NOS but was overhauled ( I understand its rare to
find a nos insted of overhauled pump). After installing/timing/bleeding the
thing it ran fine. A bit of advice though. Unless you want to change filters
at least once a month the fuel tank should be drained and cleaned. It will
save alot of head aches.
regards
Emmett
