You're well advised to keep that stuff well away from your FV701 Jack, we
don't know what it does to the flexible fuel lines or the pump diaphragm.
Later and more durable carb diaphragms are available, allegedly the older
red material isn't too happy with current fuel but black ones are available
in better material.
