Do you know what happens when you are trying to do to many things at once.
I did that with my last posting. I was distracted and thinking of M-548
which is the tracked cargo carrier.....a piece o' #$(.
The M-578 is indeed the venerable VTR (Vehicle, Tracked, Recovery). I had
five of them in my battalion Maintenance section in Germany in 1990, usually
at least 2 were non-mission capable at any give time. Both my mechanics and
I would have preferred M-88s...what a monster.
