Aw, it's not as bad as it sounds. You've just been seeing the bad
stuff lately. I picked up my deuce from DRMS for $1751, with just over
3000 miles on the frame, and 1.1 hours on the engine since rebuild. It
has needed surprisingly little work for a 28-year-old much-abused
truck. I've dumped far more work and money into my HMMWV, aside from
rotating over a ton of tires on the deuce. I just needed to bleed the
air out of the fuel system to get it to start for the first time. It
even had good batteries, with enough charge in them for that first
start.
