Close the case file on the MB axle problem, turned out to be non-existent.
As was recommended by one astute list member problem was in the brake system
due not driving the Jeep enough since restoration and living too close to
the Gulf of Mexico (30 miles from Galveston).
One of the large lower anchor pins on the passenger side brake assembly was
seized up due to rust and corrosion and apparently not allowing the forward
brake shoe to retract. Further inspection revealed that the 'new' wheel
cylinders are full of liquid rust crud.
Bottom line don't let a vehicle set in the garage unused and have previous
hard resto work deterioate away.
