I have now learned from fellow listers that these things....
On the 5 ton M139 chassis there were two different Honest John launchers, the
M389 and the M286. Evidently the launch rails are longer on the M286.
That at least one M286 is in the hands of a collector.
A western states surplus dealer scrapped several of the Honest John launchers
about 20 years ago.
Thusfar no one has provided information on the Lacrosse launcher which was
mounted on a 2 1/2 ton truck chassis.
Anyone have any information to add? Or have a Lacrosse launcher gathering
dust in the back yard?
