Hi Stuart,

Hah, I see you fell victim to the demented GM engineer, that left side bolt
is fun, eh? Sometimes it is easier to pull the motor mount through bolt and
porta-power the motor upwards than trying to get at that bolt as the motor
sits. Anyway, getting to the no-start trouble after effectively draining
the fuel lines...The lift pumps on these motors aren't what you would call
the most powerful pumps. The way I prime up the fuel system is via a small
wet-dry shop vac, some duct tape and a hunk of fuel line. Connect the fuel
line to the suck hose on the vac via duct tape, then connect that line to
the outlet of the filter block on the firewall. About a second or two is
all that is needed to prime up the system up to that point. After that, it
is all downhill (literally) to the injection pump, and there should be
plenty of fuel there already for the motor to get started. Note, this might
not be the safest method, but it saves lots of time and batteries/starter
motors.

Andy
