Re: [MV] displaying HMV's, US elections, Jane Fonda, etc.

Your not alone.. Even with my 41 Chevy Staff car people can
easily determine that its an antique and yet they want to
get in it, sit on it let their kids play with it.. And yup
they get indignant when you explain its not a toy to amuse
  their children..

Fortunately the door locks still work and I can secure it so
people can't just open it up and mess with it when I'm not
there.. The problem extend not only to cars but across the
spectrum.. Back when I was doing airshows with the B-17 or
the B-25 we would let the public do a walk thru tour of the
aircraft for a couple of buck to help defray the cost of
running and fixing the big birds

And you had to keep a constant watch not only for the kids but
adults too.. More times than I care to remember people would
remove a part of the aircraft as a souvenir. And the clowns
thought they were entitled since it was a taxpayers owned
plane !!! One bozo walked out with a 50 round linked belt
from one of the 50's. Him I almost had arested ...

Same thing goes with green machines.. Most civilians have no idea
nor concept that that machine is privately owned.. Far as their
concerned if its green then its the governments and theirs by
default and they can do anything they wish to it..

Course there are those that do respect your property and ask if
they or their kid can sit in it. Those people I have zero problems
with.. The rest mean we travel in a group and watch out for each
  others vehicles during exhibits..
