Mechanics style u-joints are identified by series designations. They start at 2C and go to 15C. We make the 9C size here at NEAPCO. I do not have a direct conversion of the old Mechanics to the new Borg-Warner numbers, but I have a drawing that identifies the series of the u-joint, which then allows you to pick out the correct part number from our catalog. Rockwell also owned the 'Mechanics' brand for a while. The bearing caps can be threaded or drilled through, high or low style. This also adds to the confusion. We sell over 50 different part numbers in the Mechanics series. I can scan what I have or if you are interested I should be able to identify what you need. I actually get paid to do this. Have a good day.
