In an off-list response, John pointed out that the WW-II shovels are
not the same as the shovels used on newer trucks like the HMMWV or
MUTT. That explains why the Home Depot shovels seem just about right
on my HMMWV, but are 4" longer than the shovels he has. Sometimes it
takes a while for new information to sink into my tired old brain. :-)
