Howdy List;
A trick we used in the truck shop to find leaks in the system was to simply
pressurize the fuel tank. Use only about 2-3 psi. look for fuel weeping
somewhere, it may take a while. We found everything from line and filter
leaks, to cracked filter housings. If nothing shows up try this. Get the rig
started cold, then shut down right away. Sometimes pumps will suck air as
they cool if seals are going bad. GM pumps among others are prone to this
because of where the pump sits. Let it sit a couple of hours and see if the
same problem is still there without the heat/cool cycle. Usually if it is a
line leak, it will effect power, pump leaks just make them hard to start,
but will only get worse. Hope this helps!
