I put about 2500 miles on my cckw every year doing my club's events
(www.mvmvc.org)
which amount to almost one event ever other week during the summer. In
addition, I do a lot of cruise nights in the summer with the GPW or the
deuce. I even brought the 37mm cannon a couple of times. Then there is the
M151 which does some parades and also 4 wheelin' too. And the Bomb Truck is
fun in the summer as it has no roof and you are pretty high up, and with the
windshield folded down...
So yes, mine get used a lot. Last weekend, I attached the 1941 searchlight
trailer to the cckw and went to the ROD (Raymond Ordnance Depot: 42 x 60)
and retrieved the 1944 Clark Airborne dozer and took it back here to the POD
(Pembroke Ordnance Depot: 30 x 60). It fits so nicely in the searchlight
trailer. Almost like it was made for it... It was a might sloooow trip
though with the hills etc. Glad I had the electric brakes on the trailer.
I love to take the cckw to town or Home Depot to pick up supplies. You do
get looks with the exposed .50 cal up on the roof...
