Something very interesting here..although the NG numbers are generic number
that followed the vehicle's history..maintenance and usage..throughout it's
life -- there is only one service that had it's own way of identifying the
vehicle..the United States Navy ! Most had no external markings..except..US
NAVY..They have a special large heavy brass data plate on the inside of the
drivers door..these are pretty scarce vehicles !! Anyone out there have one
besides me ?/ I would like to know..Gene
