These are common items at a truck parts store and other places. I got mine
from one of my hydraulic fitting vendors as Weatherhead has them listed in
thier fitting catalog. I got one with an 18" cable and one with a 24" one,
that seemed to work real well, the end of the cable, which has a loop in it,
then attaches to an S hook and goes thru a hole in the steel mud guard
thing, at least that's my implementation of it. This is shown in one (or
more) of the manuals also, I believe in application to the tractor unit. In
the manual they show using a 1/4" street elbow that way the tank drain valve
points straight back and I suppose less likely to snag on something so I did
mine that way also..

Weatherhead parts numbers are:

1ea 1421-24 Air Tank Drain Valve w/24" cable
1ea 1421-18 Air Tank Drain Valve w/18 cable
2ea 3400x4 1/4" Brass Street El

If you can't find a dealer for Weatherhead you can order them thru some
autoparts stores, NAPA for example will order any Weatherhead number, just
don't ask to find out what the number is!
