Oh I hear you and remember the Away all Boats movie .. But
my ol memory banks are coming up with a movie that was about
LSTs also based on a book called "Hit the Beach"
Looks like I need to go do some research.. I know about LST's
in that my father served on one for the most part of WW II as
a Chief Machinist Mate (MO Motor Operator) on the Achilles. This
was an early LST that was damaged, repaired and turned into a
repair ship serving in both the European and Pacific theaters..
