I have a 4-51 "Military Map of the United States" prepared by Rand-McNally
for the Union Pacific Railroad. Its index under A lists Atlanta General
Depot US Army (this is the exact terminology that the same map uses to
describe what was later know as Defense Depot Memphis). The only other
General depot listed with an A is Auburn (WA). It does note that censorship
prohibits the inclusion of certain bases.
Kind of interesting to note the inactive bases at that time, like Dover Air
Force Base, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Ft. McClellan, AL., Columbus Air Force
Base, MS., Luke Air Force Base, AZ.,
