I'm posting this on behalf of a friend...

He has a small military telescope sight, electrically illuminated, marked:
Telescope M47 A-2
M.H.R. Co 1943 A.C.B.
N.O. 4061

Can anyone please tell me what this is for... I'm guessing either armoured
vehicle or artillery piece.
