Since you have your serial number, you can find which government contract number
it was built under. Then for each contract number there were assigned
registration numbers.
Looking at the G503 web site will give you a good idea as to where your serial
number lines up to a registration number in the set assigned to your particular
contract number.
I have heard of numbers also being painted on the inside of the hood. I got
lucky and after gently scraping off the paint on the hood I found the original
invasion star and all but the last registration number. So worst case I'm off by
9.
