Having bought my first MV (a 2.5-ton 6x6 shop van) through the DRMS,
and having crawled over quite a few trucks at Barstow, March and
Vandenberg, I do not recommend buying anything from the DRMS without
personally inspecting it first. The descriptions in the catalogs are
often inaccurate. A "fair" item might be almost residue, while a
"poor" item might be in almost drive-off-the-lot shape. Unless you
have a friend near the DRMO site who can pick the item up for you and
ship it, you'll need to go there shortly after the bid award to pick
it up, anyway.
