Well, as far as using tubeless tires on a tube type rim ( assume you mean a
multi-peice wheel that does not seal), that's pretty obvious as the all the
air would leak out. But I do not agree with you in going the other
direction. There are advantages to putting a tube in a tire wether the rim
is sealed or not. They also have tubes meant for radial tires. We do this
at a freinds remote cabin place. We found that we kept rolling the tire off
the wheel when the bead kept breaking due to using very low tire pressures
that are necessary for the swampy and otherwise bad road conditions. We now
put tubes in everything and have had no more problems. The tire store has
had no problem (as in legalities or liabilites) with doing this either.
Just my opnion, your's may vary....
