  Bobby,
I assume you're asking about a electric starter. I've only
recently bought one. I got mine from Lenonard Grove in PA. It was a well
built starter and worked very well. I had a tech. question about the starter
and called them. They were very friendly and helpful.
Bill Watson in NC. also has them, for the same price. I don't personally
know him, but have a friend that does, and he says he's a good guy. That's
all I need to know! At the time I didn't order from him because I was
spending some elses money and they chose to go with Grove.
je, who you've seen on the list many times, has a few starters. I haven't
tried one but they look good in pictures. Slightly higher than the other
two, but a slightly better design, more compact. Here again the purchaser
went with the lower cost (state goverment).
If you want a orginial Prestolite starter, chances are you won't find one.
Most of them are gone, unless you can find one that was lost in a warehouse
somewhere. If you could find an old one you might could have it rebuilt. If
you find a treasure trove of Prestolites, there are several of us that would
like to have one.
If you're looking for the manual starter, just about anyone with mule parts
will have one.
Hope this helps.
Keith
