Friends:
I have had a number of inquiries about the winch I recovered from a 1943
International Harvester (2 1/2 or 5 ton). I do not want to mislead anyone, I am
no expert on winches. If anyone can provide some information on what type of
winch this might be, it would be appreciated. The cast marking on the winch
spindle read "156D1" and "ME" inside a circle. In it's frame it measures 32 1/4
by 18 1/2. The spindle is 13 inches long and 14 inches in diameter. I would be
happy to send anyone who can help pictures.
